Staff Kathy M. Welch, serving as Founder and President of Coastal Clinical Research, Inc. has played a significant role in the growth and development since the company’s inception in 1987. Receiving a Bachelor Degree in Science in 1981, her focus of study was in Nutrition and Foods. In 1986, Ms. Welch graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Masters of Public Health. As a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, she has managed and conducted over 250 clinical research trials in a wide range of specialties with most major pharmaceutical companies. Ms. Welch handles all contracts and budgets exclusively allowing negotiations to be assembled and processed within 1-3 days. Professional Affiliations include: Association of Clinical Research Pharmacology (ACRP), American Dietetic Association (ADA), and Drug Information Association (DIA). Coastal Clinical Research’s headquarters is housed in 7,800 square foot modern facility with on-site laboratory capabilities. Our unique structure includes a main office and an additional satellite site. CCR has 5 full-time clinical research coordinators with 5 coordinator assistants/recruiters with over 57 years of combined research experience.. CCR maintains a computerized study management tracking system and is experienced in Remote Data Entry. Patient recruitment is typically achieved by the following means:
